FAQ
Questions we get a lot.
How does verification work?
When you sign up, you upload a government-issued ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport). Our trust & safety team reviews it manually and usually within 1–2 business days. Once approved, your dashboard and matches unlock. Your ID is never shared with other members.
What does the $49 fee cover?
It's a one-time matching fee paid by each person in the pair. $49 from you, $49 from your match. It covers the platform and the verification process. There are no subscriptions, no monthly charges, and no fees to browse. You only pay when both of you decide to connect.
Can I match with more than one person?
Not at this time. Femute is built around a single, consistent commute buddy with someone you build a routine with. If your current match no longer works for either of you, contact us and we'll help you find a new one.
What if my buddy changes her schedule?
When life changes, schedules do too. Use the in-app chat to coordinate directly with your buddy. Femute matches are built to be flexible; the relationship is yours to manage.
Is Femute only for BART?
Yes, Femute currently serves the Oakland ↔ San Francisco BART corridor. We're starting focused so we can do verification right before expanding to additional routes.
